As part of the Kresge Eye Institute, Dr. Sosne’s practice provides comprehensive, high-quality care for a wide array of eye and vision disorders. We treat and manage patients with cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye disease, inflammatory eye diseases, diabetic eye disease, disorders of the cornea, and with a special emphasis on cataract surgery. With a warm, caring, and most professional staff, we strive to provide the most excellent and compassionate care for all of our patients.

Dr. Gabriel Sonse

Dr. Gabriel Sosne received his MD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, and completed a fellowship through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Chevy Chase, MD. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI and a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is affiliated with the Association of Research and Vision in Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the Michigan Society for Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Sosne, a clinician scientist, has a joint appointment as Associate Professor in Ophthalmology, Visual and Anatomical Sciences at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute with a focus on cataract surgery, cornea land ocular surface wound healing, and dry eye disease.
